The only buttons that work currently are the Google sign in, multiplayer, local play, and sign out. If it’s too small to read, there is a button for local play, multiplayer, signing to into Google, signing into Facebook, the inbox, stats, settings, playing a computer, and of course to exit. On the right I’ve included an image of the main menu which shows the various functionalities that the game includes, and may include in the future. Note, the background has an animation that doesn’t appear in preview. The main menu of the game as it appears now. Plexor is a name that is sometimes used for reflex-hammers, hence the inclusion of a reflex hammer in the logo. It is almost entirely arbitrary save for the fact that it has an X and an O in it. The name that I chose for this game is something that is in no way meaningful, or significant.
STENCYL FORGE ANDROID
Look no further than Hearthstone on Android and Ipad for a good example of that. Future iterations may include more complicated UI animations, but at that point I may just scrap the API for something more “animatically robust,” like Unity. Although, the limitations of vanilla Android come into play in that respect, as animations for UI elements are costly so the best I could do is take the web 2.0 route and include button events for on_down, on_up, and on_enabled. While designing these, I tried to emulate the very simple and sleek design of modern Microsoft UI’s. Any animations or assets that are included in the game were done by me, with the exception of some toast images which were added into the game after the final project date. The platform I decided to use for this was vanilla Android because I wanted to eventually be able to take it to the Google Play marketplace and make add revenue from it. The winner of the game must get 3 blocks in a row on the larger board.Ī recent, but still some-what out of date view of the game board Each player is playing to win the smaller game of tic-tac-toe, and earn a symbol on the bigger board. If you’re still having some confusion, take a look at the picture below and it might clear things up a bit for you. The second player must then place his O in one of the 9 squares in the row 1, column 3 block. So, say the first player places an X in row 1, column 3 of the center block. The game starts in the middle block and based on what square the first player places his or her symbol in, the second player’s must place their symbol in the corresponding block. For clarity, I call each 3×3 board a “block,” and each position the player can click to place a symbol a “square.” The way it works is you play in a 9×9 board where each 3×3 set of squares is its own smaller tic-tac-toe board. So the game that I made for my individual project was a variation of Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe which some of you may already be familiar with.
STENCYL FORGE PS4
Unfortunately I don’t have a PS4 yet, but this will be the one reason for getting one. This adds a nice new flavor to the combat and I am really looking forward to it. I believe this will fix the shield problem This adds faster combat with a strategic twist. For example if the player is hit by an enemy, then the player has a few seconds to counter attack to regain some fraction of the health lost. The game rewards the player when he/she plays strategically offensive. As for the multiplayer battles, whoever had a better internet connection was the victor.īloodborne is going to try and remedy this problem by throwing away the whole concept of shields and replacing it with faster and more agile combat. This simplified a lot of the battles that took place during the main story. All the player needed to was get a shield that had 100% to physical defense, circle strafe an enemy and then back stab. Shields in that game were too overpowered. It has a very Van Helsing vibe to it that I can’t help but feel very excited about.Īll of this is nice and all, however, I have a theory that Bloodborne is going to fix something that has always bothered me about the Souls franchise.
For instance the setting seems to take place during the Victorian era. It seems there is going to be a lot of changes to the feel of this game in comparison to the other previously mentioned ones.
Bloodborne is the spiritual successor for demons souls and the dark souls franchise. I don’t know about all of you, but I am super hyped for Bloodborne that is scheduled for release on 3/24/15.
